Lindsay Savitskoff is a graduate student in the Counselling Psychology Program at Athabasca University. She has successfully completed advanced course work specific to the fundamentals of counselling theory and practice. She is now in the process of completing a practicum placement at Kelowna Professional Group to fulfill the requirements for her Master’s Degree.
CLINICAL TRIAGE SYSTEM:
The Clinical Triage System was created in order to provide you with the opportunity to determine the type of therapy and/or assessment that is right for you. The clinical triage session will involve an evaluation of your needs, which Ms. Savitskoff will ascertain by gathering relevant background information about you (for example, your family and relationship background, medical or treatment history, etc.) as well as details about your present circumstances and identified areas of concern. This information will assist her in providing you with some initial clinical impressions. She will summarize her first impressions of your presenting concerns and use her knowledge and skills to assist you in identifying a best-fit treatment provider, thus setting a plan in motion. With your consent, she will provide a written summary of the triage session, including discussed goals and action plan, to the appropriate treatment provider.
Ms. Savitskoff also provides individual counselling services to adolescents and adults presenting with anxiety, depression, stress, and grief. During this process, her clinical work is under the direct supervision of Dr. Jessica Driscoll, R. Psych. (CPBC #2231) at Kelowna Psychologists Group. As part of her professional development, Ms. Savitskoff will obtain clinical training through co-counselling and case consultations with her supervisor and other professionals at KPG.
