Ms. Rothlander is completing the Master of Social Work (MSW) program at the University of British Columbia Okanagan (UBCO) focusing on clinical social work. She is supervised by Ms. Hennessey, a sought-after senior member of the KPG team and part of UBC’s Master’s Program Alma Mater, who lends her wisdom to your service delivery. Krystal Rothlander was selected to our practice due to her uniquely rich background in community services, crisis intervention and research, which informs her process.
Krystal is a practicing student in an accredited program at UBC-O, planning for registration with the British Columbia College of Social Worker in April 2023. She is currently accepting new clients and is offering in-person and remote sessions, with good availability for now and a subsidized rate.

Ms. Rothlander engages in a co-authored treatment plan, enjoying a strong connection with youth, parents, and people of all ages including our elders. She has experience from the Kelowna Women’s Shelter, Seniors Outreach, Okanagan Boys & Girls Club and a community-based SOAR research project. Her Bachelor’s degree is from UVIC, with focus on health, gender studies, and community issues
Ms. Rothlander uses an integrative practice that applies an evidence-informed biopsychosocial-spiritual approach. She provides Cognitive Behavioral Approaches in an environment that is safe, unconditional positive, and in a confidential therapeutic helping relationship. This multidisciplinary methodology includes narrative theory, neurobiology, and acceptance & commitment therapy, which is person-centered, and strength based. Clients feel empowerment to change. Krystal believes that community is central to the human experience and well-being, providing social connection, a sense of belonging and she supports you to develop a social cohesion network. You can expect Krystal to be approachable, resourceful, non-judgmental with a value-added sense of humor. Her lived experience, academics, and professional career informs many diverse perspectives. This provides clients with a health practitioner that values balance, perseverance, survivorship, stories, laughter, compassion, integrity, and fortitude, and hope.
Areas of practice:
Prior to her planned spring registration, Ms. Krystal Rothlander can be seen at an incredibly subsidized rate (administrative fees only) of $25 per 50-minute session during her practicum; she is working closely in collaboration with her supervisor Ms. Trixie Hennessey whose profile is also on this website (those who can contribute more for fees are invited to do so to address supervisory involvement). Our administrative team will assist you in determining your coverage with Ms. Rothlander when she becomes a Registered Social Worker in B.C. and full fees are then place.
