Dr. Platts works primarily with adults and provides a range of assessment and treatment services. She is experienced in treating anxiety and mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, and disordered eating and body image difficulties. She uses a variety of cognitive behavioural therapies and tailors her work to address clients’ individual needs and strengths.
** Dr. Platts has a supervised practice and works under the supervision of Dr. Heather McEachern, R.Psych #1175.**
** There are special insurance considerations when choosing Dr. Platts as your clinician. As Dr. Platts is an applicant to the CPBC, she is NOT yet a Registered Psychologist. Dr. Platts has a supervised practice and as such, some insurance companies may not approve reimbursement for sessions with her. If you are planning on seeking reimbursement for sessions with Dr. Platts, please ensure that you contact your insurance company to confirm if they will reimburse sessions with a CPBC applicant under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist. As Dr. Platts is not yet registered, we are not able to direct-bill to insurance companies for her at this time.**
