Appointments: Monday through Wednesday, 8am to 6pm
Dr. Burnett holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Saskatchewan. He completed his predoctoral residency at the Edmonton Consortium Clinical Psychology Residency Program (Alberta Health Services). Both his graduate program and his predoctoral residency program are accredited by the Canadian Psychological Association. Dr. Burnett is a Registered Psychologist in the provinces of British Columbia and Alberta.
Dr. Burnett works primarily with adults and older adolescents. He provides a range of assessment and treatment services. Areas of practice include:
Anxiety (e.g., excessive worry, fear and avoidance, panic, phobias, social anxiety, perfectionism, etc.).
Depression and chronic sadness
Anger, aggression, and violent behaviour
Stress and Adjustment (e.g., work-related, school-related, relationship-related).
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
In addition, Dr. Burnett provides a range of forensic psychological services that are focused primarily on criminal matters. Dr. Burnett has been qualified as an expert in the Provincial Court of British Columbia. He will accept referrals from individuals, lawyers, and from the courts.
