Michael Schulting is a registered acupuncturist with years of experience and brings diverse training in traditional and modern treatment. SCENAR treatment is an advanced needle-less acupuncture technique, recently recognized in Canada, but widely embraced by the medical community in Europe. It is found by Michael to be revolutionary in its effectiveness for many challenging, dual diagnosis, physical and mental health presentations. SCENAR uses the close connection between the autonomic nervous system and endocrine system to help the body self-regulate by triggering nerve fibers to release a much increased amount of neuromediators including, but not restricted to, neuropeptides. When addressing complex injuries and to speeding up cellular healing, especially for nerve and bone tissue, Michael uses PEMF (Pulsating Electro Magnetic Field Therapy) a tool employed and strongly recommended by NASA and many pain clinics in Europe and North America. He also integrates education and understanding of this approach, and can add hypnosis and meditation strategies as required, to assist in post treatment success to the home environment, between treatments.
As a part of our treatment team, Michael Schulting helps clients who wish to set goals to manage pain more effectively while reducing traditional medications and their side effects. Clients with wellness goals for improved energy and fitness can also count on his thoughtful contribution to empowering their bodies to detoxify and engage in gentle and progressive self-healing. This frees the body up for lifestyle goals that can be maintained, resulting in long-term success. Michael uses a holistic treatment approach to address biological, psychological, social, and spiritual factors which can lead to improvements in your overall mental and physical health.
His areas of treatment, in conjunction with our team, are as follows;
complex injury recovery
addictions; including Opiod addiction concurrent with chronic pain
trauma clients with PTSD
anxiety and depression
concussions and post-concussion syndrome
many other physical diagnoses
This holistic approach fits well in our clinic and Michael’s work often begins where talk therapy naturally ends, and aids in treatment goals as part of a team of practitioners. He is registered under the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia (#01775).
