Intake Clinician, Claire Benadé, has a Bachelor of Science degree from U of C in Psychology with a Sociology minor and worked with high risk youth and young adults through Youth Empowerment & Support Services in Edmonton. Claire has the ability to put the client’s needs first through a client-centered and strengths-based approach and has worked with individuals on goal setting, case management, crisis intervention and reintegration. Recently, Claire has received trainings in trauma informed practice, Trust-Based Relational Intervention and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.

She now comes to us at KPG to provide a valuable Intake session to learn about client needs and as a first point of contact to assist clients in finding the best fit clinician for their assessment or treatment needs. Claire will gather relevant background information as well as current circumstances and present concerns to get an understanding of your needs. She will then use her knowledge and skills to assist you in finding the best fit clinician and help set a plan in motion. She is informed about possible coverage plans that clients can access and puts the client at ease to go forward with the important process of getting the help you need in a timely and thoughtful manner. With your consent, a written summary of the intake session will be provided to the appropriate treatment provider including discussed goals and action plan.

For more information, she can be contacted directly by phone at (250) 762-2525
